Back in the days of live broadcasting, I would never miss a show. But then I got engaged, and we set our wedding date for a Thursday, the day when I would broadcast.

 

Our slot was at 2pm, and the wedding was due to begin at 7pm, and I decided that the show must go on. And so the Kol Cambridge Wedding special was born, a personal highlight given the many guests we had in the studio, many of them previous co-hosts on Cambridge University Radio, who had flown in for the wedding. The atmosphere was incredible. And I made the wedding on time!
